The Maryland Aviation Administration is currently accepting applications for the Director of Marketing (Administrator IV), within the Division of Marketing & Air Service Development (MASD) at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing marketing and advertising campaigns and initiatives for BWI Marshall and Martin State Airports; implementing local, regional, national and international campaigns using consumer and trade print, radio, television, direct mail, digital, transit and outdoor media; overall budget development, resource allocation, and planning all tactical marketing/advertising strategies for the economic development of BWI Marshall and Martin State Airports; identifying funding sources for airline marketing as well as inter-agency commitments; and creating and overseeing new airline service events and marketing. This position requires highly effective analytical, presentation and communication skills.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field.
Experience: Five years of experience in marketing, advertising, promotions, public relations, or a related field. This experience must have involved developing and implementing marketing or advertising campaigns and other related initiatives. Three years of this experience must have involved developing and managing advertising contracts and agreements as well as supervising advertising campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Additional Salary Information: Salary compensation is in the range of $53,193 - $85,401 with associated state government health benefits and pension.
