Position reports to Director of Business Operations and works closely with the department’s leadership in planning and executing department’s marketing programs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the department’s media marketing initiative, including website updates and Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
Writes, edits, and maintains content for media outlets for the department. This includes blog entries and media updates.
Assist department leadership with developing and updating web content, and digital signage.
Maintains a log of all website and social media initiatives and content managers related to the department.
Monitors conversations about the department on media outlets/channels.
Ensure consistency in the look and feel of websites and printed material.
Designs new print and digital promotional marketing materials and updates outdated marketing materials such as brochures, lecture posters, faculty/staff directories, newsletters, annual reports and posters needing graphics formatting.
Works with vendors to get price quotes for media projects.
Works with key departmental personnel to ensure accuracy.
Provides coordination and support for department special events; May require occasional availability to work events as needed outside of normal business hours.
Attends and coordinates photo shoots as necessary (new faculty, residents, etc).
Coordinates communication to BJH/WUSTL public affairs for notification of departmental accomplishments, awards for publicity. Additionally works with MIR Visual Media Center to communicate poster printing deadlines and formatting requirements.
Compiles folders for events to include handouts and evaluation sheets.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience
This postion is part time and works approximately 20-25 hours per week and not less than 4 days per week. Occasional flexibility needed for schedule based on special events or meetings.
Extensive familiarity with social networks (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube) and emerging technologies (including mobile), Internet culture and etiquette
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks of varying degrees of complexity and to work well as part of a team; ability to work in fast-paced environment; at least 2 years of experience in a health care setting

The hiring range for this position is $22.61 - $28.84 per hour.
