The Academic Internship Council (AIC) is a non-profit organization that draws upon three decades of experience developing place-based, experiential education programs that connect academic curricula with industry and community. Summary of Position:
The Marketing Manager will play an integral role in developing, managing and sustaining the strategic marketing efforts for AIC and CIEE’s portfolio of academic internship programs. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, AIC, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all B2B and B2C marketing initiatives and associated projects within this growing portfolio of programs. The Marketing Manager will work in close collaboration with AIC as well as the CIEE marketing and digital teams. The Marketing Manager is expected to manage regular project meetings with AIC and CIEE business teams, back office teams, and external agencies as needed.
Manage development and delivery of successful internship marketing strategies, across print, web, digital, video, blogs, and social media
Act as primary project manager to business teams to ensure effective and timely implementation of marketing strategy across businesses
Develop annual marketing calendar and budget to support AIC customized internship programs (B2B) and CIEE internship programs (B2C)
Develop content for existing and new materials and campaigns including print brochures, digital campaigns, email, social media, websites, advertising, mailings, promotional items, and other activities
Develop, manage, and report on critical marketing metrics and align performance with enrollment and sales goals
Manage all internship email nurtures and communication flow to potential participants
Manage relationships with outside vendors, designers, and agencies in support of marketing obejctives
Manage short-term internship work output for interns or temps based in the Boston or Portland offices;
Collaborate closely with CIEE Study Abroad marketing staff and enrollment teams to coordinate B2C campaigns with study abroad marketing cycles and initiatives, leveraging cross-promotional opportunities whenever possible
Collaborate with CIEE research/strategy team to gather relevant academic internship market research, including competitive landscape scans and participant research

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
5+ years professional experience in marketing, marketing operations, agency experience, or similar field required
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience developing and coordinating digital marketing campaigns, including analyzing and reporting key metrics, required
Strong analytical skills required
Effective communication skills required, including ability to present to a variety stakeholder audiences
Strong customer service skills and the ability to listen, solve problems and respond to a variety of requests, questions, and issues, required
Ability to act as point person on all marketing projects and act as an internal leader and advocate for cross-business collaboration and coordination
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Experience using Salesforce preferred
