Memorial Sloan Kettering seeks an experienced and entrepreneurial Director of Marketing Operations to lead an organization-wide center of excellence based within the Communications and Marketing Department.
As the Director of Marketing Operations, you will:
Leverage the Salesforce platform to build a scalable, centralized campaign operation to support MSK-wide strategic initiatives that encompass both consumer-facing and B2B communications.
Demonstrate the benefits of consumer relationship marketing (CRM) and marketing automation to drive adoption; implement and promote best practices across all aspects of campaign management.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop, execute and continuously improve performance of consumer and B2B programs.
Drive strategy development through data, ongoing performance assessment and insight to organically grow MSK’s eSubscriber base.
Manage eSubscribers preference centers, Marketing Cloud asset libraries for dynamic content and targeted e-newsletters.
Ensure compliance with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements.
Contribute to marketing and communications planning processes through your database-marketing experience, and provide expert management for a growing campaign operation.
Recruit, manage and develop a team; serve as the day-to-day lead managing external agency supporting campaign activities.
A collaborative team player and effective working in highly-matrixed, cross-disciplinary environments and with external partners (technical, digital agency).
A self-starter who is comfortable with the ambiguity of a start-up operation, and able to move initiatives forward and multi-task to meet diverse end-user needs of varying complexity.
Comfortable doing hands-on execution as well as training and managing others to execute campaigns.
Flexible and able to quickly adapt and change strategy to align with business needs.
Committed to keeping abreast of CRM and campaign best practices and new Salesforce/Marketing Cloud features.
A Bachelor’s Degree AND a minimum of 4 years of Marketing Operations experience implementing and managing CRM initiatives; and demonstrated proficiency in CRM from a marketing perspective.
Strong Salesforce/Marketing Cloud or a similar marketing technology platform (e.g., Marketo) experience.
Demonstrated analytical approach, understanding core database-marketing techniques, eCRM, testing and metrics; experience with Wave Analytics from Salesforce a plus.
Strong Excel and analytical skills for data manipulation, compiling Marketing Cloud reports, identifying needed customizations and enhancing/configuring platform.
Ability to analyze, trouble shoot and solve problems; attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent project management skills and strong understanding of business/operational processes.
Excellent computer, writing and presentation skills; experience in presenting, both formally and informally.
