The Marketing and Communications Assistant position reports to Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC), Clinical Research Supervisor, and provides essential support to the SOM Neurology and Neurological Surgery marketing and communications operations. Responsibilities include coordination with Principal Investigators and Unit Directors to develop and facilitate social media materials for a variety of platforms and assist with strategic planning for recruitment efforts of federally funded multi-site national research studies. Incumbent will write, produce, post, and manage multimedia content for ADRC and support website and social media content on accounts; design of news, event, and other kinds of promotion materials for web/social media; and/or posters for same; and/or video production and editing; updating contact databases and coordinating operation of bulk communications clients such as Constant Contact; and assisting in the distribution of marketing materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field or two (2) years of related experience.
Exceptionally strong writing and copyediting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
Experience developing, launching, and evaluating social media campaigns.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Programs, Photoshop, Editing, proofreading and composition skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Proficient in social media platform applications such as Loomly, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.
Experience executing social media platforms and direct email marketing campaigns.
Ability to design and identify marketing campaigns, specially to underrepresented groups over the age of 65.
Experience developing short and long-term marketing strategies for research study recruitment.
Ability to interact with Institutional Review Boards (IRB) for development of compliant collateral.
Organized and ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training completed.
