What Product and Solutions Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health
This is an essential product marketing role that supports the Infection Control Apparel business within the US Regional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) marketing team, with a special focus on Caps and Shoe Covers. This business serves traditional acute and non-acute medical markets and has opportunity for growth in new distribution channels and within new customer segments.
The Product Manager is responsible for working closely with cross functional teams to ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainable growth. This role reports directly to the Sr. Product Manager, Infection Control Apparel. With an aptitude for analysis and critical thinking, this role will lead through everyday business management activities including attentive sales and customer support, mindful inventory analysis, detailed financial comprehension and decision making, and management of new business pipeline. In addition, marketing strategy activities including product and portfolio messaging, new product launches, engagement campaigns, new US market assessments, competitive positioning and voice of customer and customer journey analysis in the pursuit of an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for defining the product, market and life cycle management strategy including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability
Exhibits an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business.
Accountable for gaining and driving cross functional support from all stakeholders
Identifies and remains current on market trends.
Determines product lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success
Understands methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio and product decisions. Can identify market opportunities through VOC/secondary research and takes action by implementing and managing solutions
Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to IT, communications, operations, and sales
Defines product messaging strategy and communication objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
4+ years experience in related field
Experience working independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities to manage short and long-term priorities and projects
Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment.
Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications
Demonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan, this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market.
Must have the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning and can establish and/or adjust the product offering
Proficient in mining data and interpreting findings to solve problems and tell a story
Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Maintains a positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships

Anticipated salary range: $78,500 - $112,100
