The Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business has 34 full-time faculty, 60+ adjunct faculty, and about 10 PhD students. The Department serves about 1200 undergraduate students, and close to 200 graduate students.
Reporting to the Chair of the Marketing and International Business Department, this position will perform office and administrative duties in support of the Department. In addition to the duties outlined in the CUNY Title Overview, tasks include, but are not limited to:
Assists the Chair and the Search Committees with the coordination of faculty recruitment activities.
Maintains an adequate stock of office supplies and initiates repurchase using the CunyBuy platform.
Assists the Chair and faculty to organize research seminars and department meetings; reserves rooms; orders catering; and completes paperwork to reimburse speaker travel expenses.
Prepares and processes Travel Authorization Requests and Reimbursement paperwork for faculty travel, and research/teaching related expenses.
Assists the Chair and faculty with Interfolio entries for promotion, tenure and (re)appointments.
Maintains an online Expense Tracking System for the department???s Expenditures.
Assist with the onboarding of new adjunct faculty; prepares adjunct (re) appointment letters and ePAFS (Electronic Personnel Forms); and communicates with the Dean???s and Provost???s office.
Collects Workload Reports, Multiple Position Forms and Syllabi from faculty and checks them for accuracy.
Assists the department scheduler by entering department course schedules on Coursedog.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred qualifications:
Detail oriented with strong organizational, writing, proofreading, and editing skills with solid analytical, evaluative, and research skills. Ability to work well in a time-sensitive, customer-service centered office. Willingness to learn new skills as CUNY introduces new procedures and platforms. Experience working in an administrative office in an academic setting. Experience with CUNYFirst platforms for processing departmental purchases, faculty TAR???s and expense reports, graduate assistant payments, and for locating information about department activities. Preferencegiventoapplicantswithatleast twoyearsof relevant CUNYexperience.

Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range $ 44,411 ???$ 47, 861; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
