Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Manager Perioperative Business Operations at Norfolk General Hospital's Operating Rooms, in Norfolk Virginia

Shift: Full Time, 40-hours per week.

Job Profile Summary

Assumes responsibility and accountability for coordination of the business functions within the surgical services areas. Responsible for billing/revenue processes including management of the Surgical Information System. Coordinates the development and marketing of new services within the business unit. Contributes to the success of the hospital through achievement of system, hospital, and department goals and objectives.

Education

• Bachelor's level Degree REQUIRED

Experience

• 3 years related experience REQUIRED
• Prior OR supervisory/ leadership experience STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Knowledge of EPIC data/dashboards, Experience with Surgical Scheduling, Experience with Charge Data Master (CDM) maintenance PREFERRED
• Experience in surgical charge auditing, and some revenue cycle knowledge specific the surgical services PREFERRED
• Experience with a Surgical Value Analysis program PREFERRED

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital , located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
