Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary The Medical Office Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing and outreach strategies that promote the medical practice, increase patient volume, strengthen referral relationships, and enhance the practice’s brand in the community. This role blends healthcare knowledge with marketing, communication, and relationship-building skills while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop and execute marketing plans to promote services, providers, and locations.
- Maintain consistent branding across all marketing materials and platforms.
- Coordinate advertising efforts, including print, digital, Google AdWords, social media, email, and local sponsorships.
- Track marketing campaigns and analyze effectiveness using basic metrics and reports.
Digital & Online Presence
- Manage and update the practice website content, including provider bios and services.
- Oversee social media accounts; create and schedule compliant healthcare-related content.
- Coordinate local provider events and monitor responses, patient feedback, and provider feedback.
- Support SEO and online directory listings (Google, insurance portals, healthcare directories).
Referral & Community Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with referring providers, hospitals, and community partners.
- Coordinate referral outreach programs and provider-to-provider marketing.
- Organize and attend community events, health fairs, and networking opportunities.
- Prepare marketing packets and materials for referral sources.
Patient Growth & Retention
- Support patient acquisition strategies and retention campaigns.
- Assist with patient education materials and service announcements.
- Collaborate with front office staff to improve patient experience and communication.
Compliance & Healthcare Standards
Ensure all marketing activities comply with HIPAA, Stark Law, and healthcare advertising regulations.
- Coordinate approvals for marketing content with leadership and providers.
Pay Range
- $50,000 – $56,000 annually, depending on experience, specialty, and scope of responsibilities
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of healthcare marketing regulations and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with social media platforms and basic design tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
