Advertised Summary Job Description: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content and social media plan, which leverages both departmental and institutional partner channels, to promote the primary patient care, research, and education missions of the Department, Division of Pediatric Orthopedics, and WFCPC Manage and update the social media accounts of the Weinberg Family CP Center, contribute content to the ColumbiaDoctors social media accounts, distribute content to various institutional social media feeds, and generate related website content Production and manage all digital content (video, photography, graphics, etc.) required for web and social media distribution Point person for working relationships with media production resources (both internal and external) Maintain close ties with CUMC, ColumbiaDoctors, and NYP social media teams to ensure that content strategy is in alignment with institutional initiatives and policies Solicit and mange intake of stories and content from clinicians, researchers, and administrators within the Department, Division of Pediatric Orthopedics, and WFCPC Develop and implement targeted web and social media campaigns to support ad-hoc projects in concert with master planning initiatives Develop and maintain partnerships with affiliated organizations to increase traffic/visibility Track, analyze, and report on social media and correlated web-traffic performance across all distribution channels He or she will also contribute to various other projects on an as needed basis
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience. A minimum 2 years marketing, social media, digital production experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of social media management platforms: Hootsuite, Tweedeck, or similar Demonstrated success managing paid promotion campaigns via Facebook advertising and paid search Proven track record of successful implementing social media campaigns to boost followers, likes, and target audience interaction Experience managing production of web-ready digital content, both video and still graphics Proficiency with web and social media analytics tracking and reporting (Google Analytics, etc.) Strong interest in health and healthcare Demonstrated record of making sound editorial and content management decisions Work creatively with limited resources and creative problem solving Proven track record meeting production goals within budget and on-time Team-oriented with positive attitude Excellent verbal and written skills Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier (FinalCut or similar) Experienced with web content management environments (Drupal preferred)
