Major Duties: General summary: Responsible for the leadership and management of cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives in the Office of Marketing and Strategic Communications. Works with stakeholders across campus and with external partners to keep critical initiatives related to marketing and communications moving forward on time, on budget, and on goal. Enables and eases communication between individuals and teams, nurtures idea generation, and facilitates stakeholder accountability.- Develops and implements best-practice processes for project intake and workflows in partnership with the Marketing and Communications leadership team.- Establishes and maintains project schedules and ensures that marketing and creative, digital strategy, and editorial team members have the time and bandwidth to complete projects within defined timelines.- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, and reports to ensure timely completion of projects and that keep all stakeholders apprised of project timelines, due dates and status.- Helps coordinate communication between marketing and creative, digital strategy, and editorial teams.- Manages and nurtures relationships between University units, stakeholders, and Marketing and Strategic Communications, working to determine deliverables, timelines and manage partner expectations.- Participates in and facilitates project meetings.- Manages and assigns incoming project requests in coordination with division directors.- Interfaces with external vendors, partners, software partners and on and off campus advertising outlets.- Ensures adherence to quality standards.- Accepts constructive critique when given, understands, and quickly adapts the approach. Advances a new organizational culture by demonstrating mission-focus, goal-orientation, and a collaborative spirit in the discharge of duties.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.- Three years' relevant experience.- Experience with responsibilities requiring confidentiality, timeliness, customer service, prioritization and troubleshooting.- Ability to work both independently and with a team to meet deadlines.- Experience designing and implementing processes to ensure quality and repeatable project management. - A proficient understanding of traditional and digital marketing and communications trends, best practices and standards. - Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities. - Strong interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to create and maintain effective relationships as well as collaborate and motivate at all organizational levels. �- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email and calendar software applications. - Experience using project management software.�
