The Associate Director of Marketing Operations for HMS Postgraduate Medical Education reports to the Director, Business Operations and is responsible for all operational aspects of marketing campaign activities. In addition to direct management of the marketing team, this position leads efforts to design, implement and drive marketing strategies that support the launch and successful enrollment of live, blended and online certificate, master's and continuing medical education programs aimed at health care professionals and related audiences. Working in conjunction with department leadership and program faculty, the Associate Director is responsible for formulating comprehensive marketing plans to meet and/or exceed program enrollment targets and revenue goals while enhancing HMS Postgraduate Medical Education presence in the marketplace. This individual is responsible for evaluating and effectively employing appropriate marketing channels (digital, social, print, etc.) to achieve goals. This role assists PGME leadership and program faculty in developing and administering digital marketing and content strategy to support recruitment and community engagement. He/she will provide a spectrum of marketing services to support assigned programs: managing program websites, writing copy, coordinating media spend and overseeing program collateral. This position has significant responsibilities for working in a team-based, results-driven environment. Working in close collaboration with the Director, Business Operations, the Associate Director allocates and manages project work across the marketing team. Team performance management, marketing campaign analytics, and budgeting/forecasting responsibilities comprise core components of this role. Continuous monitoring of enrollment trends and adjustment of marketing tactics are responsibilities of particular importance.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
Lead marketing campaign execution to support new and existing programs, generate revenues and build brand awareness.
Assist and support product development, launch and post-launch management of HMS Postgraduate Medical Education programs.
Develop new and innovative marketing initiatives and participant cultivation strategies, converting prospects to applicants.
Leverage analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities and channels, adjust and refine accordingly.
Effectively communicate program value propositions.
Analyze target markets, report on market potential, help inform pricing and identify marketing opportunities.
Design and execute an effective marketing communication plan to support brand awareness and community engagement.
Perform financial analysis to drive efficiencies and responsible campaign activity decision making.
Manage web content to ensure consistent branding and relevant/timely information (article links, stories, and events) is in a rotation.
Assist PGME leadership in anticipating and capitalizing on market shifts due to the impact of new delivery technologies, new areas of demand, new channels to reach prospective applicants.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, faculty and staff to leverage all available resources.
Build strong and effective partnerships with Executive Education, HMS IT teams, HMS Faculty, and other academic support organizations across HMS and the University.
Manage and mentor marketing team members.
Collaborate with key members of leadership and faculty teams to evaluate and introduce appropriate and innovative marketing solutions for PGME.
Serve as PGME's focal point for recruitment and achieving enrollment goals.
Manage marketing budget effectively, including tracking of expenses and reporting.
Foster a culture of continuous innovation by maintaining expertise in current and emerging marketing trends and initiatives.
Source and manage 3rd party vendors and service providers as required.
Serve on University and HMS committees that are charged with evaluating marketing initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in related field and 7 or more years of marketing, communications, and operations.
Experience in creating and executing comprehensive marketing plans to achieve results.
Evidence of ability to work at the tactical level (organizing meetings, analyzing data, solving administrative problems).
Ability to manage internal talent and external vendors/service providers to achieve goals.
Hands-on experience with marketing channels and tools including digital media, CRM systems, social media, blogs, traditional advertising, SEO/SEM knowledge, etc.
Evidence of success in project management for complex projects, with a demonstrated ability to initiate and implement projects while working to deadlines on a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience with product/program launches and management.
Experience in executing strategic plans, communication plans, quality controls, feedback mechanisms, and project schedules.
Demonstrated understanding of branding and identity development.
Proven record in producing usable reports on web analytics (including Google Analytics and Google AdWords), direct marketing, feedback surveys, social media metrics and marketing dashboards.
Ability to interpret analytics results, assess campaign effectiveness and adapt campaigns to achieve goals.
Experience managing content within content management systems.
Experience utilizing social media management tools (including search engine optimization strategies or SEO).
Strong knowledge of graphic design, web information architecture, and usability principles.
Experience developing/overseeing creative work within established brand guidelines.
Experience critiquing creative work (including advertisements, brochures, websites), with proven ability to review for brand adherence and overall quality.
Working knowledge of writing style guides, with proven ability to review and edit written content for style adherence.
