Responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to increase the visibility of the UTSA Athletics brand. This includes designing and executing marketing campaigns that drive revenue opportunities, enhance brand awareness and increase fan engagement.
Create and implement sport-specific marketing plans for all intercollegiate sports and events sponsored by the University that take a strategic approach to driving fan engagement, ticket sales and content distribution.
Oversee and direct game presentation efforts including development and execution of game presentation scripts, video board operations, in-game promotions and fan giveaways.
Oversee cheer and mascot programs.
Conceptualize, schedule and strategically implement print, digital and radio advertising campaigns.
Collaborate with campus constituents including student government, student organizations and university colleges to increase student attendance and support.
Establish and activate short- and long-term marketing goals and objectives and consistently evaluate effectiveness to implement change when necessary.
Oversee and develop marketing team including Marketing Associates, student interns and game day staff.
Act as primary marketing contact for coaches and sport administrators, working closely with each on marketing plans and community initiatives.
Direct, execute and lead social media strategies across all platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram as well as new and emerging platforms to advance the UTSA Athletics brand.
Evaluate and upgrade Athletics communication strategies to improve awareness of UTSA Athletics initiatives and home athletic contests while providing a personal touch and a strong Return on Investment.
Collaborate with Ticket Sales leadership to identify holistic strategies to drive revenue opportunities.
Identify unique opportunities to integrate and showcase sponsor activations in partnership with Roadrunner Sports Properties.
Serve as liaison to Conference USA for all marketing initiatives. Responsible for implementing programs that are in full compliance with institution, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Collaborate with Communications, Learfield Licensing, Roadrunner Sports Properties, Development, Roadrunner Athletic Fund, Ticket Sales and Operations and campus stakeholders.
Manage budgets and expenses.
Provide reports and regular updates to senior leadership and executive teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
