DESCRIPTION / OPPORTUNITY The real estate market is undergoing a significant and exciting change – driven by data and technology. Digital and Technology powered products play a vital role in CBRE's mission to create unmatched value for our clients. The Product Marketing Manager will be a guiding force in defining the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and executing on it with help from Product Management, Marketing and Sales. S/he is a key member in the Product team reporting to the Vice President, Products. The person must have a passion for marketing digital and technology powered products that blend seamlessly with customer's workflows. The individual must possess expertise to perform market analysis backed by data, great communication skills, and an eye for design and details. Creativity is key requirement as many times the customer looks to CBRE to provide solutions to their problems. This position is strongly cross-functional in nature, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. In addition to internal constituents, you will also work with customers, and partners to understand the market and to support the business. The work is often translating product features to customer benefits, and therefore a strong customer orientation is critical, and past Marketing or Brand Management would be very valuable in this position.
Manage and improve the overall Product Marketing function
Gather and continuously refine Market intelligence for internal and external consumption
Be the expert on competitor offerings and their pricing and positioning plans
Develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas collaborating with product management, marketing communications, sales and other business leaders
Influence sales and marketing processes based on our customer's process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make.
Develop a GTM plan for the products in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
Constantly track data of Campaigns and Product usage to assess effectiveness
Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Thought leader for the products externally, including speaking engagements and written works on Social Media, Blog posts, etc.
Support our sales channels and train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users
The individual must be highly entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker who can solve today issues as well as build processes for growth. The individual will need to be hands-on and work closely with all levels in the company, including senior management.
Typically has 7-10 years of relevant work experience
The person needs to have:
5+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
Ability to motivate team members with influence and accomplish goals
Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred.
