The University of Iowa is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to develop, coordinate and lead strategic marketing initiatives within the Division of Student Life health and wellness sector. Work closely with the Student Life Marketing and Design team, individual clients, and campus partners to create and lead the marketing strategy for the health and wellness programs and departments; provide project management to ensure timeliness completion of all projects; lead and produce social media efforts, including visual elements; and keep website content fresh and relevant. The role also includes writing, editing, proofing, and publishing information (online and in printed form) that supports and aligns with the communication strategy for the Division of Student Life, Recreation Services, Student Health, Student Wellness, and University Counseling Service. Administrative supervisor for some marketing student employees.

Successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal background check.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working experience (typically 1-2 years) in marketing or communications.
Basic knowledge of marketing channels including print, advertising, web, and social media.
Working knowledge of communication and writing skills.
Basic ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Working knowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling marketing projects
Working knowledge of and ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of all individuals.
Basic knowledge of coordinating print materials and large format displays with graphic designers.
Basic knowledge and application of automated project management systems to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
Basic knowledge of managing project budgets.
Basic knowledge of writing for health and wellness subject matter.
