Job Description: The Associate Director for Marketing and Communications is part of a small team focused on the continued success and improvements of the Divisionâ™s pre-college and undergraduate programs. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Associate Director is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategy to young scholars and athletes, and their families throughout the lifecycle, which includes prospective, applicant, matriculant, registrant, while in attendance, and alumni. While the majority of these programs occur during the summer months, there are additional offerings in the fall, winter, and spring for which the Associate Director will be responsible for building and deploying appropriate strategies. Aligned with the implementation of strategy, the Associate Director will be responsible for developing all written copy related to the same lifecycle, and ensuring that the marketing and communications efforts remain within a determined budget. The position will supervise the Manager for Marketing and Communications, who is responsible for the web- and print-based design and implementation of strategy. Real-time course correction will occur in each cycle, so this position will need to be highly responsive, navigating both long-term strategic thinking and short-term adjustments throughout the year in order to successfully contribute to the sustainability of these programs in an expanding market.
