Position Summary Full-time position available on or after September 3, 2019 for in the Office of Extended and International Education. Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Analyst will be responsible for creating, planning, executing and managing the website, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, graphic design, and social media channels for the Office of Extended and International Education. This position will create and refine integrated marketing campaigns, perform market research, create and update communication plans, select and modify images and graphic design. In addition, this position will provide customer service, project management and tracking efforts to support other projects, initiatives, and team members.
Job Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Serve as primary content creator for the Office of Extended and International Education andthe programs it serves. Provide website maintenance in our Content Management System, Drupal. Work closely with 3rd party vendors, such as programmers and developers, to accomplishtasks. Follow university standards, including ADA and copyright compliance. Create and maintain campaign landing pages for program specific promotions and ads. Design, edit, and refresh graphics, photos and related digital content on website as needed. Run and analyze reports on web traffic as well as web related marketing efforts. Update website as necessary for programmatic and divisional changes. Work with departments and program coordinators to create new program websites. Manage CRM (Salesforce) database to insure high quality lead generation. Manage and maintain web CMS systems to ensure high functioning department websites. Run Google Analytics reports. Create and oversee e-mail marketing campaigns. Copywrite and proofread materials as needed. Manage the development (design and content), production, and distribution of all graphicdesign content, including but not limited to: o Print and digital advertisement campaigns o Informational materials (i.e.: brochures, landing pages, e-mail marketing) o Promotional materials (i.e.: customized promotional items) o Social media o Website o Digital Signage Design and create new promotional pieces as needed for print and digital advertisements. Create and refresh all content on all websites and social media channels per campaign. Update collateral as needed. Maintain a 12-month calendar of recurring program collateral and create an updated look/edits as needed. Maintain a 12-month calendar of paid ads and update the look/campaign of each programas needed. Work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to plan, develop, and implementspecial projects. Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications in the implementation of marketingprojects. Foster strong connections with local media contacts and university constituents. Conduct strategic market research and market analysis as required to support projects. Assist with strategic communication plans for all programs within department. Maintain program advertisement budgets and recommend social media budget percampaign. Create and analyze reports as needed per program, i.e. statistical reports perprogram/cohort, social media analytics, Google Analytics. Utilize the social media management software to schedule posts. Create paid ads for requested programs and analyze the campaign(s). Run and analyze reports on all social media posts and paid ads. Oversee, create and refresh all digital signage content. Maintain a 12-month calendar of posts and paid ads. Create and manage strategic social media campaigns. Assess market opportunities and track market trends. Recommend marketing improvements based on findings. Other duties as assigned.
Education:College degree which includes relevant coursework in the field. Experience:Three to five years of related professional or technical experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in graphic design, marketing, communication or related field. Five years of experience in graphic design, communications, website development and social media. Demonstrated experience creating digital content using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator Demonstrated experience in using: Adobe Creative Cloud, One Drive, Microsoft Office Suit, Mac OS Experience using project management software to track project progression, including monitoring client reviews. Experience with Drupal CMS and Salesforce CRM. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply standard theories, practices, principles, methods, procedures, and techniques related to communication, public affairs, media and/or marketing theories and concepts in order to develop and execute communication strategies and plans to promote and position the university. Working knowledge of protocols and institutional etiquette related to public and media relations. Basic knowledge and understanding of media outlets including print, television, and radio. Working knowledge of applicable software packages. Strong writing and editing skills to quickly produce clear and concise standard documents for internal and external publication. Solid foundation in grammar, spelling, and the composition of various communication vehicles are essential. Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information. Working knowledge of summary statistics as they relate to research or sports information. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong public speaking, listening and interpretive skills to develop and maintain relationships within the university and community and with the media. Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of public policy, public affairs issues, campus events and subject matter expertise in relation to current events to identify and capitalize on media opportunities that will promote the university and increase positive media coverage. Thorough knowledge of and ability to use effectively media outlets including planning media coverage and media publicity campaigns for the university and events. Ability to apply appropriate statistical techniques and methods to research or sports information. Ability to analyze and select pertinent facts and integrate them into communication vehicles. Thorough knowledge of web communication techniques, vehicles and formats. Ability to effectively use web technology to achieve communication goals. Strong story development and journalistic writing skills, as well as advanced editorial skills. Knowledge of interview techniques and the ability to define and deliver media messages. Working knowledge of marketing and research techniques and methods. Ability to apply market research to identify communication needs and target audiences. Ability to provide lead work direction. Ability to build and manage more sophisticated media contacts. Ability to effectively manage media relations and apply effective media strategies and techniques. Working knowledge of appropriate use of statistical techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of marketing and research techniques and methods. Thorough knowledge of applicable copyright and other laws pertaining to written materials, publications, confidentiality, publications and the news media. Expert networking and interpersonal skills including strong consultative and persuasive skills to work with internal and external constituents and the media. Ability to use market research to enhance the impact of communication strategies and campaigns. Expert knowledge of university communication objectives and ability to translate them into effective communication and media campaigns. Salary Range $4,104 - $7,209 per month plus excellent paid benefits. (Anticipated salary will be $4,104 – $5,130 per month, depending on the qualifications of the successful finalist.)
Compensation Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
