The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the planning, coordination, development and implementation of tactics and promotional activities to support the desired outcomes of a marketing strategy. Areas of focus may include but not be limited to member acquisition, retention, business-to-business marketing, chapter relations, conferences, events and/or international awareness. Additional responsibilities also include tracking of marketing budgets, measuring, analyzing and reporting on key performance indicators.
This is an ideal role for the forward-thinking marketing professional who is highly organized, consistently demonstrates outstanding results and has a proven track record in establishing successful relationships with all stakeholders. Strong writing and editing skills are essential along with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent follow-through is paramount!
Execute tactical marketing plans which may include writing creative briefs, creating project plans, identifying and measuring KPI's, partnering with internal and external resources to create marketing materials, developing copy, project management, providing regular status updates and managing vendor relationships.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand the desired outcomes and create tactical marketing plans to achieve goals.
Partner with digital marketing coordinator to provide social media and eNewsletter content to drive member engagement and reinforce member value.
Use market research, available member and non-member data to understand the voice of the customer. Based on these insights, refine target audience segments, identify key drivers and trends to better deliver on communications and outcomes.
Track marketing expenses, develop purchase orders, and report progress against budget to management.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in marketing, communications/writing, public relations or business administration and 3-5 years of related experience required; conference, events and trade show experience is preferred.
