This position is for the Pediatrics Computing Facility. The position is located at 4480 Clayton. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Position reports to Director of IT and works closely with the Pediatric Computing Facility (PCF) Team and Departmental Administration and Leadership in planning and executing department’s social media presence and marketing opportunities. Individual will coordinate and collaborate with individuals outside of department, such as Faculty Practice Plan and other community and business partners.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the department’s social media marketing initiative, including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, other social media and website updates.
Writes, edits, and maintains content for social media outlets for the department, including blog entries and Facebook/Twitter updates.
Maintains a log of all social media initiatives and content managers related to the department.
Monitors conversations about the department on social media outlets/channels.
Designs new marketing materials and updates outdated marketing materials such as physician biographical sketches, physician directories, and wallet cards.
Works with vendors to get price quotes for marketing projects.
Works with key departmental personnel to ensure accuracy.
Provides coordination and marketing support for department special events; available to work events on- and off-site as needed outside of normal business hours.
Coordinates and conducts photo shoots as necessary to support departmental initiatives and events.
Creates and compiles materials for events, including handouts and evaluation sheets.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Extensive familiarity with social networks (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube) and emerging technologies (including mobile), Internet culture and etiquette.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks of varying degrees of complexity and to work well as part of a team; ability to work in fast-paced environment; at least 2 years of experience in a health care setting.
The hiring range for this position is $47,986 - $61,194 annually.
