The National Catholic Educational Association is looking for an energetic, experienced person for their Director of Marketing Communications. This person will lead the Marketing Communications team and be responsible for implementation, execution and oversight of NCEA’s marketing and communications efforts, including communications outreach and development and delivery of promotional materials, digital publishing and content production for NCEA publications, as well as public relations. The Director of Marketing Communications will market NCEA products and services to members and will promote the value of Catholic school education to the general population.
Understand and support the Catholic mission of organization
Oversee NCEA’s marketing and communications efforts, including member outreach, promotional materials to support the membership, digital publishing, content production for NCEA publications, social media efforts, and public relations
Promote Catholic school education nationally through creative marketing and social media
Serve as advisor to chief leadership and staff on the messaging and marketing of the Association and the messaging and marketing of the value of the Catholic school education to the general public
Ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms, resources and materials
Design, implement, and execute strategic, innovative marketing plans for events to drive attendance, enhance brand presence, and engage local media onsite
Supervise and monitor the content production process for NCEA publications
Seek new media opportunities to better engage members and increase online/social media presence
Develop and monitor marketing and communications budget
Lead Marketing and Communications Advisory Council and other committees as assigned
Recruit and manage external marketing communication consultants and firms
Lead efforts to conduct relevant market research and monitor trends in Catholic education
Lead and manage efforts to engage Catholic schools across the country as members of NCEA
Supervise creation of Catholic school marketing and communication resources for members
Develop and choose delivery methods of materials and resources that will lead to individual school year-round marketing and communication efforts
Remain current in the understanding of how messages should be delivered to various audiences using the most effective tools
Required: BA in Marketing, Journalism or Mass Communications; graduate level degree a plus.
7-10 years’ experience in mid to upper level communications/public relations management position or closely related field; experience and expertise in Catholic education desired.
