The Director of Marketing is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. This will include business and market development, pricing, market research and planning, strategic direction for promotion and advertising, coordination with sales, and directing and managing the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the firm. Support and facilitate development and implementation of section business/marketing plans.
Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
Plan and administer the firm’s marketing operations budget; support development of regional marketing budgets.
Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
Manage Category Manager, Product and Catalog Managers, Pricing Coordinators, Marketing Services Group
Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
Oversee firm’s electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site design and maintenance
Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
Develop and administer marketing database which includes client and prospect information, mailing list applications, etc.
Select products and accessories to be displayed at trade or special production shows

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
4 – 6 years of sales experience in the marketing industry
Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
Proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
Strong communication skills/dynamic leadership skills are required.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. May require lifting of up to 30 pounds. Travel is required.
