Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing

Summary: Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing will serve as a senior officer and provide leadership and communicate the direction, vision, and strategic positioning of the University to Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate and Professional Studies Admissions, the Financial Aid Office, and Marketing. Work Performed: The Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing is responsible for managing and overseeing the enrollment initiatives and goals in alignment with the university’s mission and strategic plan. Responsible for assessment, SWOT analysis, and determination of annual enrollment and marketing initiatives and goals in alignment with the university’s mission and strategic plan. Provide leadership in shaping strategic goals and budgetary requirements for enrollment, net tuition revenue, and approaches to student financial assistance. Responsible for ensuring the enrollment and financial goals contained in the strategic plan can be accomplished with the current recruitment strategies. Build effective relationships with faculty, staff, and alumni to coordinate recruitment efforts. Observe, analyze, and interpret regional, state, national, and international enrollment trends and identify growth opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of enrollment strategies in the strategic recruitment plan. Determine and monitor the enrollment management and institutional aid budget and ensure the Admissions, Marketing and Financial Aid operating budgets will support the recruitment plan. Leverage financial aid to ensure students and parents can afford to attend and be retained at the University. Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive, long-term, and proactive University-wide communications, marketing, and branding strategy consistent with the strategic goals, plans, and aspirations of the University. Use market research data to develop and drive high-impact recruiting approaches and techniques and corresponding marketing plans. Cultivate productive relationships with local and international schools, agents, businesses, and organizations to promote the university and seek opportunities for promotion and recruitment. Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies for prospective students and assessment methods to evaluate effectiveness. Explore technological advances that will improve and increase efficiency in enrollment and marketing efforts. Provide consistent servant leadership to all enrollment and marketing team members. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 10 years of professional experience in managing higher education recruitment/marketing initiatives and/or enrollment management.
Experience: Knowledge of strategic institutional branding and marketing and higher education enrollment management practices and marketing. Proven record of strong and effective leadership. Able to collaborate in developing team-focused and data-driven approaches to problem solving. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity. Exceptional understanding of how to utilize social media best practices for campus recruiting. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Proven ability to cultivate and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Can read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Must possess strong quantitative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. User knowledge of Slate, Jenzabar, PowerFAIDS, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and basic Internet protocols is strongly preferred. |
