The Marketing Communications Manager fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by celebrating and communicating, in conjunction with the Head of School, Director of Institutional Advancement, Director of Enrollment, Director of Student Activities, and Director of Technology, the story of St. Gabriel’s Catholic School to our internal and external community.
The most essential prerequisites are strong analytical and communication skills. The Marketing Communications Manager is in charge of both traditional and digital marketing communications processes. To lead effective campaigns, this Manager not only needs to be able to analyze marketing trends but also needs to make cost-saving decisions for production.
The Marketing Communication Manager must be able to clearly convey promotional concepts to internal teams and the external community. The Marketing Communications Manager serves as an active creative lead and content provider on projects, thus the ability to communicate effectively is especially important for this role.
Essential Job Functions:
Create and implement plans to increase brand awareness
Commission or conduct market research to inform marketing and communications plans
Perform market data analysis and evaluation, through use of Google Analytics for the purpose of increasing SEO and leveraging marketing efforts for the highest ROI as measured by increased enrollment numbers and target market discovery.
Oversee paid ad marketing campaigns from various channels
Collaborate with departments to produce effective promotional materials to support the work of each team
Lead the Marketing Committee
Obtain necessary consent and provide final approval on all marketing collateral, products and promotions
Develop schedules and maintain deadlines for promotional materials
Lead search engine optimization efforts
Create visually effective and timely website updates
Manage, create, and post timely social media posts for the School across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
Communicate clearly and creatively with the school community through daily Bright Arrow Remind text messages, and weekly Blackbaud push communications
Essential Job Competencies:
A marketing or advertising background, with at least three years of experience in the field
Proficient with Google Analytics
Background in, or willingness to become expert in, digital design
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with Blackbaud OnSuite a plus
Ability to work well on a team and collaboratively across teams
High level of creativity
Ability to take initiative on behalf of advancing the School
