Multnomah University seeks a leader, strategic thinker, and community builder to join the executive team as a vice president of enrollment and marketing.
In this role, you will marry the strengths and work of your teams, understanding marketing and enrollment are two sides of the same coin in a highly functioning university. You will be responsible for developing the overall enrollment strategy of the university and will empower your team members to work collaboratively to achieve lofty goals through vision casting, training, and intentional mentorship.
As the chief brand builder of Multnomah, you will craft and promote the image of the institution in light of its mission to equip Christian students to become biblically competent, academically proficient, spiritually formed, and culturally engaged servant leaders, shaped to be a transforming force in the church, community, and world. You will also champion our prospective students as they engage in their enrollment journey – leading your team members to empathetically understand their challenges, hopes and needs – and develop business practices and marketing collateral that help these students find a home at Multnomah.
The right candidate will demonstrate a strong proficiency with analytical decision making and reporting, will be financially savvy and will serve as a trusted advisor to the President and Board of Trustees. Above all, this individual will be dedicated to Christ in mind and soul and will lead by example and in a manner that is reflective of his character.
Build an enrollment and marketing division committed to students and university outcomes:
Oversee the admissions, marketing communications, registrar and financial aid teams
Collaborate across campus to strategically involve staff, faculty, and current students in meeting the enrollment goals of the university
Lead and coach staff to maximize effectiveness and overcome obstacles by creating a community of trust with clear goals and strategies
Establish short and long-term enrollment and marketing goals and strategies, in coordination with the strategic direction of the university
Act as the Chief Brand Officer: shepherd the university brand by developing meaningful messages and creative execution that resonates with Multnomah’s target audiences
Be a key member of the executive leadership team and work directly with the President to ensure alignment on strategic enrollment priorities and the university brand
Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and the Provost to develop academic programs that fit the mission of the university and meet the needs of the marketplace
Develop and analyze enrollment and marketing data, making informed decisions about short and long-range enrollment goals. Communicate these clearly with the Board of Trustees and broader Multnomah community.
Make strategic recommendations to the President, Chief Operating Officer and other senior leaders regarding annual enrollment goals, market trends, and financial aid projections.
Oversee the establishment of admission policies and procedures, and coordinate the proper evaluation of applicants serving as a liaison with admissions staff and members of the faculty
Responsibly and creatively manage the budget and resources of the division to maximize outcomes
Clearly committed to Christ and His people as evidenced by a love for His Word and a consistent willingness to serve others
Demonstrated leadership skills, including hiring and coaching people and team to maximize potential
Deep understanding of marketing and/or sales strategies to move target audiences to action and success employing outcomes-based marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals
History of problem-solving and execution
A proven track record of success in achieving aggressive goals
Excellent communicator with a deep understanding of people
Comfortable in fast-paced environment
Proficient time manager with analytical abilities
Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of people at all organizational levels
Bachelor’s degree required with five to seven years of leadership experience preferred

This is a full-time professional staff position with benefits including medical options, dental, vision, life insurance and disability benefits, also paid holidays, vacation accrual and sick time all beginning the first day of the month following one month of employment. A generous Employee Tuition Grant is available after 1 year of employment.
