The Credit Union Chief Marketing Officer improves the Credit Union's competitive position, consistent with its mission, within the markets served; develops objectives, policies and programs for marketing and public relations activities of the Credit Union; plans, directs, and coordinates the efforts of marketing and sales toward the accomplishment of overall objectives; supplies advice and assistance to the President and other operating units within the organization.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Directs all advertising and sales promotions for products and services; develops advertising programs and collateral materials.
Directs marketing and sales planning, including an analysis of competitive products/services and selling techniques, legislation, budgets, pricing and distribution.
Hires, reviews, schedules, trains, and monitors the work of direct reports: conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department; reviews and approves, denies, or modifies department recommendations from subordinates.
Conducts market research and recommends product/service modifications or improvements.
Develops and implements strategy for best serving/acquiring SEGs. Works with sponsor group(s); promotes Credit Union to employees and works with sponsor to maintain a positive relationship.
Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for and implements strategic plans designed to meet the credit union's short- and long-term marketing objectives.
Coordinates special events; monitors planning, schedules and implementation as required for proper execution of each event. Coordinates the annual meeting, including production of reports, facilities and meeting logistics.
Initiates staff training programs in member relations and selling techniques.
Manages member complaint/grievance response activity.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: Bachelorâs degree Combined experience/education for substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 10 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Bachelorâs degree in finance, business management or similar field. Highly motivated, detail-oriented and passionate about driving member value. Strong knowledge of finance and accounting, organizational structure dynamics, financial modeling, asset liability management, and quantitative analysis. Hands-on financial leader with great communication, presentation, collaboration, consensus-building and listening skills. Passion and curiosity for innovation and technology. Experience with a broad array of lending technology relevant to enhancing the member experience.
