Directs a comprehensive communications and marketing program for the Hobby School. Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and operating plans for communications and marketing; directs a team of communications and marketing professionals.
Develops and manages a comprehensive communications program, including internal and external communications, messaging and media coordination to raise the college's visibility (locally, regionally, nationally and internationally).
Initiates and manages the marketing plan for the college; provides best practices for student recruitment and marketing strategies; establishes brand positioning through market research.
Oversees all content for college website, social media and other digital communications.
Reviews, writes, edits and authorizes copy, and oversees design work on college publications.
Responsible for the recruitment, training, and evaluation of communications and marketing staff.
Builds and maintains relationships with university partners including media specialists to ensure consistent and accurate media coverage for the college; serves as the liaison with other university partners in the development and production of outreach materials and communication.
Directs and/or assists the Dean with communication and special projects.
Works closely with other advancement communications departments and integrates efforts where possible.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelors and 5 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
Master's Degree in communications, marketing or public relations preferred.
