IU Studios is the central Marketing and Communications unit at Indiana University, and includes the University Events and Conferences teams. The CRM Marketing Consultant reports directly to the CRM Constituent Experience Leader and is tasked with helping improve the university's integrated constituent experiences. In particular, the consultant will be a subject matter expert in optimizing constituent experiences with mobile touchpoints - including SMS and mobile app push notifications. The consultant will focus on driving the university in delivering great mobile constituent experiences by understanding current pain points and needs; identifying opportunities; strategically journey mapping solutions; executing solutions; monitoring success; and iterating for continuous improvement.
While primary focus will be on mobile, proficiency in email and other digital and traditional marketing channels will be important for holistically mapping out, executing, and automating journeys with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CRM.
Drives mobile marketing usage and innovation at the university.
Develops and automates campaigns in Salesforce Journey Builder.
Works closely with colleagues and partners around the university to understand marketing needs and builds campaigns in Salesforce to meet those needs.
Participates in journey mapping workshops with partners to understand constituent experiences and needs.
Provides thought leadership in constituent experience mapping and mobile marketing.
Builds and manages mobile and email campaigns.
Understands and effectively utilizes analytics for continuous improvement.
Provides specialized customer support through provisioning, creation of projects or workspaces within applications, and/or customizing products to customer specifications.
Troubleshoots and analyzes problems and bugs in applications and products.
Performs complex upgrades, releases, customization, and documentation of work according to team's established methodology.
Performs programming, scripting, and modifications of application and products for corrective action.
Collaborates with technical and functional business clients and teams within the central information technology organization.
Contributes to project planning, objective formulation, task estimation and evaluation of customer requests.
May train, mentor and provide guidance and feedback to less experienced staff.
Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or similar disciplines.
2 years of customer / application support, programming, or related experience.
Experience in lifecycle and mobile marketing.
3 years of experience in mobile marketing, user experience, journey mapping, marketing automation, email marketing, digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, and/or database marketing.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
