The Marketing Writer is primarily responsible for crafting and editing content for Admissions' digital platforms, print publications and event materials. This position contributes to the development of marketing strategies that determine the success of USC's undergraduate recruiting and admissions efforts. The main goal of this role is to generate, nurture and convert prospective students into applicants and enrolled students through informative and engaging content. The Writer is an expert wordsmith and storyteller who can showcase the value of our product in a compelling way. They are also a team player who can give and receive constructive feedback. The Writer works in an environment with tight deadlines and excels at multi-tasking as well as balancing multiple projects at once. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing online and primary research related to marketing content and analyzing content performance metrics. Additionally, this position uses their knowledge of admissions procedures, policies and practices to provide accurate counseling and customer service to students, parents and guidance counselors at special events that take place frequently throughout the year. The position requires some evening and weekend work and may also require occasional travel.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 1 year professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material, or Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.
