Alumni Relations Marketing Coordinator, McDonough School of Business - Georgetown University
At Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business (MSB), our mission is to build global business knowledge and inspire ethical leaders to serve the common good.
The McDonough School of Business, is seeking a talented Alumni Relations Marketing Coordinator, who will become a key member of the Alumni Relations team and will support the McDonough School of Business's alumni relations activities, developing and maintaining communication with alumni through emails, monthly e-newsletter, and the website. The incumbent develops and updates content for the alumni relations pages of the school's website, provides assistance with other marketing and outreach efforts, and is responsible for assisting with the development and administration of alumni surveys. Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Relations Marketing Coordinator has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
Alumni Communications, Website, & Data
- Assist with developing and disseminating communication pieces through emails, e-newsletters, surveys, event invites, and other forms of outreach as requested. Tasks include the creation of messages, e-newsletter content (including articles), downloading/uploading photos and videos, and writing web content.
- Maintain and update the alumni pages on the McDonough School of Business website. Also coordinate with the University's alumni association to ensure the appropriate presence of the McDonough School of Business on the university's web sites.
- Maintain the accuracy of the alumni database by updating information as received from alumni and other sources.
Alumni Events
- Assist Associate Director of Alumni Relations with on- and off-campus event planning and execution for alumni events.
- Set up and manage the check-in table at alumni events.
- Update Salesforce with names of alumni who attend alumni events.
- Maintain registration and communications in Salesforce.
- Provide administrative support for the development of marketing materials.
- Prepare background and briefing documents for CMO and Deans for alumni events.
- Market and promote Alumni Club events around the world.
Volunteer Assistance & Administrative and Program Support
- Coordinate alumni engagement with Associate Director of Alumni Relations and various staff at the McDonough School of Business.
- Provide assistance to alumni volunteers as they perform their functions on behalf of the McDonough School of Business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Strong attention to detail with interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with alumni operations
- 1 to 3 years of experience in higher education administration or university setting
- Experience in Salesforce and Marketo platforms
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days on campus, 3 days telework). Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
