The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the Director of Outbound Sales & Marketing. This position will oversee the development, coordination and implementation of sales & marketing campaigns for UTA Athletics. The successful candidate will be a key team player in building revenue generation, game day atmosphere, branding and community/campus outreach.
Generate revenue through a comprehensive sales, marketing, and advertising campaign focused on the sale of season, group, and single game tickets in addition to special offers to all UTA Athletics ticketed sports with an emphasis on men’s & women’s basketball. Set and achieve defined revenue goals for each sport. Coordinate digital media buys centralized around men’s and women’s basketball with continued focus on high ROI. Create robust email marketing/sales campaigns targeting youth teams & leagues within the DFW market focused on revenue generation through FEP’s. Develop new business through outbound calls, emails, meetings, and community event appearances coordination. Working knowledge of sales platforms such as FEVO and salesforce as well as AXS ticketing system to create group offers and drive revenue. In conjunction with the assistant director of sales & marketing, recruit, train and manage day-to-day responsibilities of sales interns.
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in sales/marketing/ticketing for a professional and/or college sports program, proven track record in sales and building quality relationships, and professional telephone manner, ability to meet sales goals and deadlines, excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills ability to lead, manage, and train full-time sales staff, one (1) to two (2) years of experience in supervising personnel including delegating responsibilities, demonstrate creative abilities in generating innovative ideas and exploring alternative approaches and solutions to problems, ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner accurately reflecting the relative importance of job responsibilities without constant supervision, demonstrate organizational skills; ability to work under time constraints and with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and distractions, ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, with the ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships independent worker, self-starter
