The Executive Education Marketing team of the Stanford Graduate School of Business has recently reorged and seeks an Associate Director of Channel Marketing to join this newly defined team. This Channel Associate is responsible for expanding awareness and driving leads for Stanford's portfolio of product offerings (domestically and globally). The team has ownership & jurisdiction over the marketing funnel and can leverage channels including, but not limited to email, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), paid & organic social, display, print, and direct mail. The Channel Associate's primary responsibility is the development of the customer journey. This includes creation and execution of marketing campaigns and tactics.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to connect change agents with Stanford Executive Education programs that will enable them to make positive impacts in their organizations and communities. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position where the work can be performed with the expectation of being onsite (at Stanford's magical campus) and in a hybrid setting of at least 2 days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leverage awareness and direct response strategies and tactics to ensure executive education programs have the volume of qualified prospects to meet enrollment expectations.
- Develop, design, and execute new and existing campaigns across channels in collaboration with other team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage & report on marketing efforts across channels including: digital acquisition (metrics including return on ad spend (ROAS), click through rate (CTR), cost per acquisition (CPA), cost per 1k impressions (CPM)), email metrics per execution (i.e. open rates, CTRs, conversion rates (CVRs)), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and other channels as needed.
- Drivel aspects of awareness and direct response efforts including but not limited to forecasting, creating, testing, optizing, lead capture forms, landing pages with the objective to increase conversions.
- Work closely with the marketing operations team and share responsibility for flawless campaign execution.
- Proactively develop and expand understanding of channels and tactics in the market and use that knowledge to expand the activities and strategies in our portfolio. This includes proposing, developing and executing new conversion channels, placements and activities.
- Creating ongoing campaigns that are specifically designed to target new customers, current customers, and re-engage past customers.
- Analysis of marketing data to drive recommendations.
- Maintain the legacy of excellence Stanford's brand represents in the market today.
Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
- Journey creation and maintenance
- Creative briefs and kick-offs
- Analysis of campaign data
- Copy or content creation for conversion activities or campaigns
- Offer development or creation
- Implementation and execution of campaigns
- Post mortem recaps quarterly / business stand-ups to share out on performance and learnings.
- Project or process management
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the organization
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Depth of knowledge in at least one area of awareness or direct response marketing.
- Strong understanding of conversion best practices, benchmarks, and be able to implement changes to improve our practices as needed. Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, including planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.
- Curiosity, the desire to iteratively improve campaigns, and a user experience mindset.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate internal and external audiences. Excellent written and oral communication.
- Comfort with technology and data management.
- Ability to liaise, work cross-functionally, and adapt to change in a dynamic organization.
- Systems knowledge: CRM, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Tableau, Excel, Google Suite, and FB Business Manager.
