It is within this spirit that Citizen Relations is looking to fill the role of Senior Director, Influencer & Innovation—a position giving a successful candidate the opportunity to hit the ground running as a seasoned influencer marketing strategist and to have an indelible impact on how the agency continues to connect iconic brands and citizens.
Working closely with the SVP of Integrated Marketing and SVP of Strategy and Innovation, the Senior Director, Influencer & Innovation will lead the influencer marketing practice, helping identify, implement, and utilize best in class solutions to level up the way Citizen Relations sells and delivers their influencer services. They will lead influencer innovation for the organization, leveling up capabilities for Citizen Relations and leading dynamic digital and influencer teams. The successful incumbent will be the influencer thought leader in the organization, continually bringing new ideas and perspectives on platforms to the agency, clients, and across the industry, developing internal and external presentations detailing new innovation approaches, technologies, and tools. In the spirit of DEIA work, they will partner with the Associate Director to create a strategy to embed DEIA into an updated, differentiated influencer approach. The successful candidate will become well-versed on the intersections of social with influencer and media relations in order to develop strategies, innovations, and unique points of view that bolster our agencies offerings, facilitating ideation and collaborative workshops. Finally, they will maintain knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms—from Instagram and TikTok to Club House—as well as of the nuances that go into making compelling and engaging influencer content across each of these channels.
The Senior Director, Influencer & Innovation will be a team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, who is able to deliver with minimal direction, handling multiple deadlines. The following skills/experience are seen as possible markers for a candidate most likely to realize success in this role: a)8+ years of influencer marketing and digital experience; b) the ability to run multiple projects, identify risks and opportunities along with outstanding skills to consistently set and meet deadlines, prioritize or re-prioritize, and apply sound judgment in engaging resources; c) expertise in social platforms and industry best practices with deep knowledge of performance metrics with a focus on analytics, optimization, and a love of gleaning actionable insights; and d) the hunger to take risks as well as test and learn new approaches.
