Position Summary/Description:
The Director of Marketing and Communications will report to the Executive Vice Dean-Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. The Director will manage all internal and external communications, and marketing efforts for the School. This position will lead the School's marketing and communications team, as well as direct external marketing/communications vendors identified by the School to help fulfill its marketing/communication needs.
This position will provide a wide range of services including leading the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies and content creation that further the School's mission of Advancing Medicine for Life; cultivating brand alignment among key internal and external audiences, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners; managing crisis communication strategy/messaging; providing executive communications support to the Dean and School leadership, including crafting culture and diversity, equity and inclusion messaging; managing the School's media relations and partnering with University Communications to amplify key messages; and promoting the School's professional and graduate programs via marketing and communications strategies to aid in recruitment efforts.

Education and Experience:
Previous experience working in a University setting is preferred.
