Position Summary
Columbia Online is expanding to support a new suite of services and a platform for delivering online courses, programs, and experiences across all schools at the University. This new unit will deliver in-house services across marketing, recruiting, instructional design, media production, learner services and more. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of education, strengthening Columbia???s position as a global leader in the digital education space.
Reporting to the Associate Provost for Online Education and the Senior Director for the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, implementation, and management of performance marketing campaigns for degree and non-degree programs from schools at Columbia University.
The Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with collaborative cross-functional teams to execute and optimize marketing campaigns for courses and programs. This is an exciting opportunity to lead marketing operations and grow a team over time.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Drive the strategy, budget and execution for all marketing efforts.
- Develop and establish relationships with internal stakeholders to set strategy and execute against goals.
- ??????Develop exceptional creative that drives performance, while elevating the Columbia brand and its programs and courses.
- Manage media campaigns and reporting of marketing performance data, in addition to oversight of agency/third-party vendors and future direct reports.
Execution
- Launch and promote new programs and courses in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop a deep understanding of prospective learners through experimentation, user research, and analytics.
- Curate communications to drive course sign-ups and engagement
Reporting & Optimization
- Analyze and evaluate the performance of end-to-end marketing campaigns.
- Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on such insights.
- Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.
- Present campaign performance data to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and inform marketing tracking and analytics for attribution, measurement, and reporting.

- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor???s degree required.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience preferably in digital marketing working for an in-house marketing team or an agency.
- Experience with managing direct reports and leading a team.
- Expertise in Google Analytics.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Experience with Marketing Operations and Email Marketing.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Ads; Facebook Ad Manager; LinkedIn ads and Display media.
- Experience working and liaising with agencies and third-parties.
- Experience with budget planning, demand generation, building awareness and nurture campaigns.
- Knowledge of SEO and optimization tools, including crafting and managing SEO-enriched content.
