Overview
NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship. The Assistant Director will manage the Berkley Center’s communications strategy and develop engaging, timely, and relevant print and digital content for the department’s website and online platforms. The Assistant Director will also devise strategies to foster a vibrant community centered around entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation and will lead community building and outreach efforts. The selected candidate will provide operational, tactical, and logistical support for all Berkley Center programs, services, and events, execute communications strategies that build awareness of the Berkley Center’s role as a vital hub of entrepreneurial activity, and regularly compile and analyze data pertaining to the program’s impact.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism and 3+ years of experience developing results-oriented, multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns tailored to different audiences or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate must have the ability to adjust writing for different tones and voices, relevant program support and project management experience including event planning as well as community building and engagement, and demonstrably increasing responsibility for creating marketing and content development support in a professional setting. The selected candidate must also be comfortable creating content for multiple formats including web, print, social, etc., and writing both long-form and short-form content and have results-oriented social media management skills. Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills, and exceptional project planning skills are also required.
