Overall Responsibilities:
The Global Marketing Director has responsibility for marketing activities that support IAAPA trade shows, events, education programs, products, and services. This person also serves as the primary responsible party for IAAPA brand integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of marketing for IAAPA’s global trade shows: IAAPA Expo, IAAPA Expo Europe, and IAAPA Expo Asia, which include direct mail; e-mail; digital marketing; web and social copy writing and promotion; telemarketing; vendor management; and industry publication advertising agreements.
- Collaborate with regional teams on marketing strategies for membership growth and increased awareness and engagement with IAAPA membership benefits, products, and services.
- Create and execute a global social media and digital marketing strategy for IAAPA and the IAAPA regional teams.
- Develop and cultivate a lead generation program and prospecting database for all IAAPA membership, event, and product and service marketing efforts
- Work with various internal business partners and third-party vendors to develop and manage marketing campaigns to promote attendance to IAAPA events, including global education events, programs, and institutes.
- Provide oversight, direction, and training to the regional teams on IAAPA brand strategy and brand integrity.
- Build and manage event marketing budgets (services, advertising, print, postage, design, and translation).
- Monitor, review, and measure the performance marketing activity and results.
- Identify and explore new marketing vehicles and approaches.
- Stay apprised of member and buyer research, current market conditions, and competitor information.
- Manage IAAPA event websites and social media platforms.
- Contribute to post-event reports summarizing all marketing aspects of the event.
- Coordinate advertising/marketing trade out agreement and ensure equitable contract between the organizations.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Required:
- BS/BA degree
- Seven or more years’ experience in association or event marketing. Proven track record of success in marketing association programs and/or trade shows.
- Experience with association database management systems
- Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet association goals and objectives.
- Ability to work productively within a global team of professionals.
- People leader experience, capable of nurturing and growing a team.
- Proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising, and promotional vendors and activities.
- Effective communicator of the written and spoken word.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent computer skills required including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, HTML, Adestra, Fonteva, and SharePoint. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, a plus.

- This position is primarily sedentary in the Orlando, FL HQ office with occasional overnight travel and may require some bending and lifting.
