The Senior Marketing Communications Manager leads the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for Service Lines and other strategic initiatives. Collaborates with Digital, Communications and Market Research teams to create innovative solutions, optimize omni-channel best practices, and continually improve campaign effectiveness in driving business outcomes. Serves as the primary point of contact between the marketing department and the key business and clinical service line owners. Directly manages a team of junior staff members.
This Senior Marketing Communications Manager will:
- Guide and oversee the team's work to ensure it reflects a customer-oriented approach and an outside-in perspective by embracing and incorporating research, market segmentation, etc.
- Set meaningful goals and objectives for employees aligned to the organization's strategic goals.
- Provide ongoing constructive feedback and coaching and create a collaborative and engaging work environment for the team.
- Create an annual plan that includes business rationale, measurable strategies and timing of deliverables, content, budget, reporting and ROI.
- Develop deep understanding of the relevant customer segments and audiences, their challenges, needs and how they interact as part of the healthcare decision-making process.
- Create an in depth understanding of the marketplace, competitive landscape, market trends and legislative issues affecting relevant healthcare landscape to create a differentiated value proposition and positioning.
- Foster the use of innovations in technology, content development, creative and channel execution (e.g., podcasts, personalization, video, etc.) and best practices in marketing execution.
- Collaborate with Digital, Social Media and Communications to optimize assigned business lines' presence in the market and improve campaign development and effectiveness.
- Present an overarching strategy and vision for developing and executing integrated marketing plans for business initiatives that reflect a proficiency at constructing, managing, executing and tracking the success of digital campaign, channels and media.
- Identify synergies between Service Lines and markets to drive efficiencies and consistency of messaging.
- Support clients in crafting marketing/communications campaigns that support the overall growth objectives of the organization.
- Manage budgets, status reports and dashboards which include estimation and timing of deliverables and ROI.
- Monitor branding and communication guidelines to ensure campaign compliance.
- BA degree in Marketing or a related field and at least five years' experience.
- Strong people-management skills and previous experience managing a team. Ability to mentor and effectively oversee work of staff members.
- Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of marketing principles, theories and concepts and in depth, experienced based cross functional knowledge. Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional project management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong creative, planning, communication, and organizational skills in order to meet brand objectives.
- Work requires strong interpersonal skills in order to work with internal and external constituents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
