The Executive Education Department of the Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks a Product Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, the Product Marketing Manager role owns the positioning, messaging, and branding of various products within the Executive Education portfolio. Additionally, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing compelling content to drive awareness and engagement with past, current, and future program participants. You will use your deep knowledge of the products and market, consumers, and competitors to clearly explain the unique value the product brings and generate content that engages, nurtures, and converts leads.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to help the Stanford Graduate School of Business reach executive learners around the world and connect them to our world-class faculty and transformational educational programming. Executive Education at Stanford is expanding its portfolio of programming and the audiences served. This role is a critical role to help fuel that growth.
This is a hybrid work opportunity, with the expectation of two days of work per week onsite.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Manage positioning, messaging, and branding of select programs within the Executive Education portfolio
- Write briefs outlining value proposition, key benefits, and more for respective programs and key success metrics and deliverables for creative projects
- Generate ideas and produce content. Work on projects from concept to implementation independently or with creative collaborators. Content types include but are not limited to testimonials, videos, infographics, webinars, and brochures.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contacts whose services will be needed to support content creation
- Partner with cross-functional teams on development and execution of timelines for new program launches, refreshes, and maintenance
- Manage project/program budgets and invoicing
- Conduct market research, including competitive analysis to inform product marketing strategy
- Become a product expert by directly connecting with the program team staff and program participants to learn about products and users.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Previous experience in product marketing, brand marketing, or content marketing
- A consumer-centric mindset, empathy, and ability to connect with consumers on different levels
- Creativity and storytelling skills
- Research and analytical skills
- Ability to flex and prioritize as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and advanced communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaboration with key stakeholders while driving exceptional results
- Proactive, internal drive, resilience, growth mindset
In addition, preferred requirements include:
- Experience in higher education or with high price, experiences in B2B or B2C
