ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND RECRUITING
SCHOOL FOR PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in designing and implementing a brand strategy for Professional Studies that reaches both online and in-person prospective students. In addition, this position will manage, train, and hold the recruiting team accountable for enrollment goals. This position will support the Dean with new initiatives along with innovative marketing strategies involving print, digital, and online presence. This position reports to the Dean of Professional Studies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the marketing efforts for the School of Professional Studies, including digital, print, and website.
Provide management and strategic direction for recruiter personnel to meet enrollment goals.
Coordinate external recruitment events in an effort to enhance SPS enrollment.
Prepare preliminary student academic evaluations for Professional Studies students.
Collaborate with the SPS Admissions Counselors, Student Success Coordinators and Registrar's Office to ensure that SPS student records are managed efficiently.
Monitor, maintain, and ensure proper execution of MOUs and articulation agreements with partner institutions.
Analyze enrollment data to identify trends in an effort to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
Work closely with SPS admissions team members to review admission files.
Identify risks to the organization within the department and discuss risk reduction options with immediate supervisor.
Other duties assigned by the Dean of the School for Professional Studies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required.
Three years of experience in marketing.
Alignment with the philosophy, mission and vision of Vanguard University.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion or current in-progress of attaining a Master's degree is preferred.
Understanding of high education standards and regulations.
Experience with developing and implementing marketing strategies, preferably in higher education.
Experience in the Office of the Registrar or Enrollment Management with record keeping experience is preferred.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and organization skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent computer skills required in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook and Database management skills.
Ability to take initiative, work independently and handle confidential information.
Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills to deal with students, faculty, staff and other public agencies.
SALARY:
Full-time position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience and includes a generous benefits package.
