Job Description
The (Senior)Marketing Project Manager (temporary/term) oversees resourcing, timelines, andworkflow across a set portfolio within University Advancement (UA) related to a capital campaign launch. Reporting to the senior associate director of marketingproject management on the Advancement Communications and Marketing team (ACM),this individual is responsible for collaborating with internal colleagues andpartners to ensure print, digital, and event deliverables in their portfolioare completed on-time, on-budget, map to the strategic priorities UA and theUniversity.
Theideal candidate is relentlessly collaborative and has experience leadingcomplex projects with a team-based approach. They are highly adaptable andpossess a proactive solutions-oriented approach to problem solving. Thisindividual will be expected to think two-steps ahead without losing sight ofwhat is happening day-to-day. They are also an exceptional communicator that isable to add color to gray areas, eliminate confusion, and instill confidence inthemselves and the ACM team.
Primary Duties:
- Partner closely with the senior associate director of marketing project management and other leaders in ACM to facilitate project intake and initiation
- Manage complex timelines, tactics, and workflow initiatives within their portfolio
- Perform quality control on projects in their portfolio to maintain the highest standards
- Continually assess resources and project workflow across their portfolio and adjust project plans where necessary
- Provide marketing project guidance to colleagues in Communications & Marketing and partners within University Advancement based on best-practices and past performance
- Possess an understanding of project management tools, resources, and best practices; assist in the maintenance and enforcement of best practices in project management
- Aid in the facilitation of working groups, task forces, and other team-based efforts across all of University Advancement when appropriate
NOTE: This is a temporary, 12-month, full-time position (35hours/week) with benefits.
Title andsalary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles andhiring ranges:
Marketing Project Manager 1: $62,650 - $78,300
Marketing Project Manager 2: $69,100 - $86,350
Senior Marketing Project Manager: $76,300 - $95,350
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree with a Master'sdegree preferred. For the firstlevel Marketing Project Manager, a minimum of 1 year marketing and projectmanagement experience, for the second level, a minimum of 3 years, and for thesenior level, 5+ years. All levelspreferably in a complex, fast-paced organization.
Also, must have expertise in project management tools/software, such asBasecamp, Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, etc. and a proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office suite.
Must be a team player who is highly motivated and dedicatedto the goals of advancing higher education and have an appreciation for JesuitCatholic education and the goals and values of Boston College.
