Job Description
Responsible for the daily management ofdepartment's marketing and fan engagement activity for Athletics includingassisting with the coordination of marketing and promotional efforts for BostonCollege Athletics, its thirty-one athletic programs, and more than 730student-athletes
The position will report to theAssociate Athletics Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement and Asst AD forMarketing and Creative Services
Primary Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the daily management ofdepartment's marketing and fan engagement activity for Athletics includingassisting with the coordination of marketing and promotional efforts for BostonCollege Athletics, its thirty-one athletic programs, and more than 730student-athletes.
*Assistant/Associate Director forMarketing, Licensing & Fan Engagement is responsible for oversight ofBoston College Athletics licensing and branding program including management ofuse of marks and approval process through partnership with Exemplar.
*The position assists with all facets ofexecuting football marketing plan including advertising, attendance, andgameday programming.
*Additional primary responsibilitiesinclude the creation and management of women's basketball annual marketingplan, advertising, fan attendance, fan engagement, and gameday experienceprogramming.
*The position also creates and executesannual marketing plans for women's hockey, men's soccer, and women's lacrossemarketing.
*The position supports all digitalmarketing efforts for online and social media.
*The position is the asst programadministrator for the BC spirit squad programs including cheer, pom squad, andmascots.
Requirements
Requirements:
*Associate Director: Minimum of 5 years experience specifically in intercollegiatemarketing (salary range of 60K- 75K)
*Assistant Director: Minmum of 1-4 experience in intercollegiate marketing (salary range of 53K-67K)
*A bachelor's degree is required
*Strong interpersonal skills includingthe ability to foster and maintain working relationships with individualsrepresenting other departments within the University, sponsors and prospects,and partners within the Boston College Community.
*Ability to work nights and weekendsaround athletic events.
*Proven experience with the followingapplications and web development software: Javascript, HTML, Flash, Lyrics HQ,Adobe PhotoShop CS6, Dreamweaver CS6, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, AdobeInDesign, Google Applications, and Powerpoint
