The Public Relations' Social Media division within Marketing & Communications is seeking a Communications Coordinator who will aid in the development and execution of public relations campaigns and content marketing efforts across traditional, digital and social media. Working collaboratively with senior public relations and social media staff, this role will help promote and engage the Boston University community and experience. The role will work to highlight BU's strategic priorities and institutional values, including academic and research advancement and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Duties will include original content creation, such as blog and social media posts, outreach notes, best practice documentation; assist with social media management, SEO and reporting; social media monitoring, including following trends and BU influencers; integrating social media ideas and content with editorial properties. This role will also work closely with student interns to keep our social media channels creative and engaging.

- B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, or related field(s).
- 1-3 years of related internship or work experience in public relations, marketing, or similar areas.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and tools.
- Knowledge of WordPress, SEO, and design experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with PR, social media, and editorial teams.
