WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In this newly created position, we are seeking a Director of Marketing Strategy who will be charged with developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote CMAA and the association’s products, programs, and events.
Reporting to the Vice President, Member Engagement, this cross-functional role is in the Member Engagement team and will work with internal stakeholders to ensure that goals are reached and that marketing projects remain on-time and on-budget.
This position plays an integral role in creating and delivering marketing content while also supporting day-to-day marketing activities. The successful candidate will:
- Direct marketing efforts for all association product lines and events, including outreach to new market segments and creative direction.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to promote association programs, including Certification, Membership, Professional Development, the CMAA Foundation, and others.
- Work with Communications Team members to develop the overall look for each campaign and define specific design needs including ads, brochures, videos and other graphics.
- Prepare promotional materials for use by 30 regional chapters, and student chapters.
Qualifications:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field
- Have 4-6 years’ experience in marketing and branding field with a focus on digital marketing. Experience with a non-profit organization or with a professional services firm preferred.
- Ability to summarize metrics from analytics tools and identify trends to inform and guide digital media strategy efforts
- Ability to organize resources and establish and monitor priorities
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage confidential information
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
This position is full-time and remote during standard hours (EST) and requires limited travel (up to 15%). Candidates can reside anywhere in the US with a preference for location in the DC Metro Area.
