Reporting to the Senior Director, Editorial, the Event Marketing Specialist will be primarily responsible for the event promotions of ICI’s annual conferences as well as other workshops, webinars, and events.
Essential functions of this role include: •Develops and assists in executing full-scale marketing plans for conferences, workshops, webinars, and other ICI events. •Creates the promotions schedule and manages workflow between Strategic Communications and all other relevant departments to ensure deadlines are met. •Writes copy for conference promotions and events pages on the ICI website in coordination with the internal team to make edits and finalize copy. •Assists with preparing and analyzing exhibitor, sponsor, and speaker toolkits. •Coordinates event promotion and registration through Cvent event management system. •Works closely with subject matter experts to market events to appropriate groups, ensure customer list accuracy, and curate customer databases for future promotions. •Utilizes customer relationship management technology to learn about customer trends and collect customer data. •Compiles analytics and data from each event to create an after-event report that can inform future event marketing strategies. •Assists in creating event wrap-ups for internal and external audiences, including website content, video, and social media posts, and email. •Provides onsite support at conferences.
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply: •Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 – 5 years of related experience in event promotions and meetings or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. •Excellent written and oral communication skills. •Excellent project management and organizational skills. •Fluent in Cvent or other event marketing platforms. •Fluent in best practices, strategies, and techniques for event marketing, including A/B testing, surveys, and other marketing tools. •Solid understanding of meetings and event promotions. •Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with various constituencies, both internal and external. •Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects; ability to quickly respond to shifting priorities. •Demonstrated ability to work as a team player. •Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships. •Willingness to continue to learn about the latest digital and direct marketing techniques. •Must be flexible and able to travel.
