Iowa Bankers Association has an exciting opportunity for an intern to work in the Marketing department at the Johnston, IA headquarters.  This position will be working with staff in various departments of the Iowa Bankers Association and it's affiliates (Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation and Iowa Bankers Insurance & Services, Inc.), including staff in marketing and communications, government relations, education and information technology.  This position will also be working with external contacts including Association members and business partners (bank executives) as well as various sponsor partners for marketing events.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Collaborate with Communications Coordinator to develop story ideas for video content and social media posts.

Shoot, edit and produce videos for internal and external channels, such as e-newsletters, company intranet, social media and meetings/events.

Assist Communications Coordinator with developing, writing and maintaining social media content.

Assist with writing press releases and event coordination.

Assist with website's member login requests as well as other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the position include the following:

Full-time student at a four-year college/university, majoring in journalism/PR/communications.

Previous video production experience or internship preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Canva.

Must be skilled in video production/editing and provide samples of past work.
