Reporting to the Director, Finance & Operations and working closely with AAGLA’s Chief Executive, this position plans and assists with the development and transmission of membership communications and outreach via all types of media.

Key “day-to-day” responsibilities may include:
- Management and coordinate of dedicated and weekly event and sponsor, and other promotional emails
- Coordination and preparation of weekly update eNewsletter
- Coordination and arrangement of Red Alert and News Alert emails
- Coordination and preparation of post-webinar attendee email
- Segmenting each email to optimize open and click rates
- Monitoring of Mailchimp email list
- Monitoring email and website analytics
- Adding / resubscribing of email distribution list
In addition, this position works with outside Website Developer to maintain website, creates and edits content for website in Word Press, updates online event schedule, and assists with design of PowerPoint presentations for webinars. This position also helps to maintain content on AAGLA’s social media via Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
The successful candidate must have strong project management skills, and ability to oversee the logistics and details related to the promotion of events and distributing industry information, with the goal of membership growth.

This position will be the first point of contact for event attendees and will serve as a trusted resource and hub of information for internal staff and management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage email marketing infrastructure (MailChimp), including process development, and best practices.
- Manage and analyze CRM solutions (Novi AMS and MailChimp) supporting email initiatives; segmenting and targeting audience to deliver relevant messages.
- Manage and review tracking, analytics, deliverability scores, metrics, and reporting to measure email program performance and adjust campaigns to optimize results.
- Manage and update AAGLA’s website and social media, including posting blogs and updating pages.
- Produce marketing copy for website (WordPress), create graphics, and other marketing collateral, and preparing artwork for digital or print distribution.
- Gather content and sending out AAGLA’s regular eNewsletters and member communication with MailChimp or similar software applications.
- Prepare reports and track ROI for marketing campaigns, gather marketing analytics and share insights with leadership for effective business planning.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- MailChimp experience preferred.
- WordPress experience helpful.
- Competence in or willingness to learn Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
- Excellent grammar, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, CRM, PPC, Retargeting a plus
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and work independently.
- Strong written, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Have a positive, cheerful and team-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management platforms (Salesforce, Novi, etc.).
- Ability to work independently, solve problems and be resourceful under pressure.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Undergraduate university degree in communication or marketing related field, and minimum of 2-5 years of related experience, including supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
