Position Summary
Appointments to the faculty of The University of Alabama are based on the personnel requirements of the University’s academic programs and on the goal of achieving and maintaining excellence in its teaching, research, and service/academic citizenship activities.
Detailed Position Information
The Department of Marketing invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position, at the rank of instructor for the academic year beginning August 16, 2023. Primary duties include teaching marketing at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Possible courses include large sections of Introduction to Marketing and various required and elective Marketing courses. Responsibilities will focus mostly on teaching courses face-to-face. There may also be responsibilities for hybrid or online delivery modes. In addition, regularly meeting with students throughout the week related to coursework and student responsibilities is expected. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed and as appropriate to further advance the program and its curriculum. Service to the Department, College, and UA is also expected.
Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree in business or related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching marketing at the college level is preferred.
