The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications will act as a creative professional providing a range of support as part of the school’s overall integrated marketing communications strategy. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position will primarily focus on digital content management and marketing strategies in line with the institution's brand, mission, and goals.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide strategic oversight and daily management of the Academy’s website and community portal resources including content creation and routine maintenance to ensure content is accurate, current, and user friendly.
• Create effective pages and content on the website to support marketing efforts, campaigns, and events.
• Develop, edit, distribute and report on a variety of email marketing initiatives, automated email marketing campaigns, and monthly newsletters for targeted audiences using email marketing best practices.
• Working with the Director of Marketing and Communications, build, test, and deploy email messages to various constituent groups from senior administrators or on behalf of the Academy. Manage email distribution lists.
• Liaise with campus partners on effective use of CRM tools as part of marketing and communications outreach.
• Leverage Google Analytics and other measurement tools. Monitor and deploy SEO/SEM strategies, website optimization, and ensure work is in line with overall marketing campaigns.
• Work with internal and external partners on opportunities for paid search and digital advertising in support of enrollment efforts.
• Partner with team on social media marketing and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with other digital and print marketing and communications projects and programs as needed.
• Manage project timelines and editorial calendars and communicate with stakeholders regarding project requirements, status, and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field with 5 to 7 years’ of experience in a marketing and/or communications position.
• Experience managing web analytics and reporting, web content management systems, particularly Blackbaud.
• Familiarity with enterprise information systems (e.g. CRM).
• Experience with SEO.
• Experience in developing strategic communications for a multi-channel environment.
• Understanding of email marketing strategies and experience executing email campaigns.
• Excellent writing and communications.
HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time, year-round position. While the typical expectation is a Monday-Friday work week, there is an understanding that this position may require occasional evening or weekend work due to the nature of the role and the school cycle.
