The Sales Representative’s main responsibility is to protect, grow, and develop new profitable sales and business relationships for in the assigned territory. This is to be achieved by meeting with customers and prospective customers, conducting presentations and sales meetings, canvassing the territory with collateral materials and drop by visits, attending regional and national industry tradeshows and performing other services and activities that will grow and develop sales, sales opportunities, and ongoing beneficial business relationships.
Uses professional experience with understanding of industry knowledge to execute business building strategy by identifying customer needs and offering practical and imaginative solutions to those needs.
Interacts frequently with the inside sales team to exchange information and collaborate on ways to grow accounts.
Offers creative and analytic customer service by demonstrating good judgement for obtaining solutions to a diverse set of issues.
Canvassing territory with collateral materials
Inbound calls, outbound calls, CRM documentation with key account information, entering orders/ memos, and managing and responding to emails.
Attend trade shows and networking events to meet prospective clients and customers.
Stay up to date on current and changing industry trends to showcase to customers.
Serves as a liaison with customers, developing relationships, providing guidance and advice and ensuring all the customer's needs are being met.
CRM updates with customer information, client interactions and visits
Complete and meet deadlines for all initiatives and other assigned projects.
All other duties as assigned
Minimum of 5 years related experience or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience
Proven experience as a Sales Representative or Account Executive
Self-motivated, hard worker who holds themselves to a higher standard.
Confident, approachable, dedicated team player who will follow through on commitments.
Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to quickly build relationships with both customers and suppliers.
Maintains a self-starter attitude with excellent organizational and time management skills and has proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GSuite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively and complete projects in a timely manner.
