The Assistant Director for Marketing & Career Consultant for Cameron School of Business serves as the chair of the Marking Team for the Career Center and as a liaison to the Cameron School of Business. This position works with Cameron School of Business Student Success Academic and Career Advisors to coordinate and develop collaborative programming and additional professional development programming.
Minimum Education & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Marketing, or related field
- Two to four years of directly related post-graduate related work experience includes positions in a collegiate career center, or a closely related function.
- Experience developing marketing and branding plan, including developing marketing materials
- Demonstrated professional and personal commitment to diversity.
- Ability to provide leadership within a staff team, and in the development of programs, services, events and related initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative efforts with faculty members, other academic and student affairs departments, employers, and other external groups to inform, support and promote relevant career services and programs.
- Ability to effectively counsel college students in all academic areas, as well as deciding or exploratory students.
- Supervision experience (undergraduate student, graduate student, or professional staff)
- Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills. Extensive presentation experience with small and large groups of students, parents, faculty, staff, employers, and the general public.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize program assessment instruments and electronic career and employment systems.
- Ability to work independently and creatively develop programs, solve problems, resolve differences, and contribute effectively to the Career Center team.
